Firstly, before I want to say that the thumb does not do it's justice. The glow looks cheesy, BUT if you view it in full view you will see the difference. In this peice I wanted to use a different pallete of colors, so I chose red. I usually stick with blues, but I was getting board of doin blue. Red and black go well. The abstract was done in 3ds max 6 and was modelled amazingly quick. BUT I spent about 2 hours trying to render it so I could cut out the background. I used a different for of light rendering in this one from my last creation and it looks much better although most of the light effects are done in Photoshop CS. But I think its spiffy. I was going to do a raytrace material on the abstracts, but im always in a rush and it was taking way to long to render, but i think that the materal ads a good effects. Let me know what you guys think.
You know, I would love to make some changes to the model but somehow I managed to save a blank file in its name...what a bunch of crap! I really liked that one too. Well, i guess something is stopping me from editing it any further (probably my stupidity). Glad you guys liked it.
yea, i had originally worked with a red gradient background, but it didnt really flow nicely with the rest of the piece. but ill see what else might work.
though, as io-moth said, it looks flat. maybe somehow make the 3ds6 piece look like its three-dimensional?
the 2d work is great though.
